oceanic spiral technology

Profile

SAMARPAN

Sam’s healing odyssey started as a child when he gave massage to his mum and dad. As a teenager he became actively involved in spiritual healing as a born again Christian. Studying applied clinical psychology at university broadened his horizons and brought a period of research into comparative religion, philosophy, and practical magic. He was made in Africa and spent his first seven years there and in the Middle East. It was in Yemen that his deep love of the ocean began. In 1986 a one-way ticket took him to India. He had classic one to one yoga training in Tamil Nadu. The next year in china he started tai chi, his daily practice continued for the next 10 years. In the Philippines he lived with the faith healer Florentino de Mateo. He also completed a 6 month period of silence, researching I Ching and immersing himself in self analytic therapy. Bing kun Young, the god son of the great modern mystic Gia fu Feng,  taught him tai chi and I Ching. In Thailand he learned Thai massage.

He spent 4 years in Latin America, having a keen interest in indigenous people, ethnobotany, shamanism, imbibing power spots, and living close to nature. The huichol Indians and the Indians of Hautla, and especially the tzutuhil Indians of Guatemala influenced him. He sort out men or women of high degree, to learn from indigenous people. At this point he met a great healer James Easter in lake Atitlan. He studied under him for 2 years such subjects as herbology, I Ching, acupressure, quigong, massage, chinese 5 element theory, ayurveda, reflexology and more. Later in the south he visited in the Amazon and Andes. In Brazil he studied with Eddie Gualdera on makumba. His curiosity continues to this day. He is very spongy and intuitive and has just returned from a period of dragon hunting and connecting with Okinwawan shamanism.

A period of time in Australia with many retreats in the nature followed. Involvement in dance therapy, attending 6 months at a dance college, becoming involved in butoku and Gabriel Roths work.

As a sannyasin, he is well versed in Osho's meditations and therapies, and his vision of the modern man. He is an artist, a musician, a writer, and a martial artist. It was the chinese view of personal development that captured his imagination as a teenager. This Taoist philosophy remains close to his heart and he sights the I ching and the Tao Te Ching as two fundamental influences on the shape of his life. Both Osho and Ramana Maharshi, have been his sat gurus. The milieu of satsang and the philosophy of advaita have been the true light unto his path.

As a young man he was a very avid and intense yoga practitioner whether it be Chinese or Indian. He was deeply involved with many methods of meditation from the age of 16 onwards. The sitting and practice have all fallen away in the last 5 years. These days he practices qigong and if possible water qigong, exploring the mystery of spirals in the open ocean of Bali, with hand pads, flexible fins and a nose peg.

He has travelled to over 60 countries. He is currently based winter in Bali, and summer in Japan. Also he returns to London each year to be with his great friend and taichi master Mark Raudva, to learn more about spiral technology. His sister lives in the west of cornwall and it is his great joy to visit the circles and travel along the lay lines to his celtic roots.
