BALI
Bali blanket of love rain down on me
Shredding out the lines of my script
Squeezing out the drops from my eyes
Rolling down my cheeks
Gratitude tears
Save me in her garden of love
Grow me in her fertile soil
Pass me over to be eaten by her servants
Myriad rainbow serpents writhing
Cream me up a pulsing moan
To giggles at the pink of her falling sun
Ravish me on the squall of her waves
Let me breath again crying for all the tears
Held on to politely in cold rooms
Carry me away in her bosoms of milk dripping
In her bursting nipples and swelling lips
Oh my love Bali take me from this skin
Boundless vibrating
All one and same and whole
Blessed me at play
All equal, all honoured
All fucked to death
To live ever renewed
BECOME THE DANCE
SUNRISE SPLASH

BUSH GUM
Tussled in spirals
Peeling in bark
Battered by drought
Tortured in rooting
How long you stood here?
Guarding harsh sun
Such Faces grumble
In your crevices
White clouds pass
Ballerining phantoms
White operas on blue
With these sighing leaves
Scout the area
Tender the shade
Build the circle
Tinder the kindling
Stock the stack
Licking the flames
Open the heart
Hinge the fabric
Station to station
Break the clock
Enter the time
Call the ancestors
Set the Billy
Wait the stars
Lay your head
On nature’s bosom
Let her repair you
IZENA SPEAKS
on a hazy afternoon full of disappointment ....
i turned my weary feet tp the beach ...
the ocean front turned over her froth
a huge shiva eye caught my eye
inbedded in the rocks
i fall to the sand
like a child ....
i start to dig it out
in a trance
10 minutes later it was done
i turned over her perfect spiral eye
as i did the thunder beings spoke
in the middle of my view..... a mushrooming white cloud
and came a 2m fishing eagle dashing for the kill
a show of hunting and turning to the great rock of consciousness
5 minutes she danced before me
then at last took her prey from this my healing beach
this cloud moved on and mushroomed to rain
the sun cast her rainbow over the pyramid
in these jestures existence carressed me
how can i explain the majesty of her strokes
the sweet transparent sighs of her wings
spiirit is in everything
here on this beach i have listened to her
thro the rocks and sun and waves
in trance I have heard her songs
they have taught me of the orignal face
they have edged me closer ro the truth of spiral
i am so grateful to her as she measures me
her poetry is perfect
i interpet it as goodbye and farewell
even that she begs me to stay
to join her spiritual vortex to ascend
no i must follow my karma my natural
so tell her with tears in my eyes
for this is how it is
a fool cast out by his own bewitchment
so i hold my hand to my chest
alive and after all
all the stumbling and falling
all the missed chances
i am breathless and alive
just this moment
eternal
forever
never apart
LET’S FORGET OUR NAMES
Come into the garden with me...
Lets wash under the falls.
Under this vast sky
Lets forget our names
We who straddle the poles
Frail of life and death
In relationship with all this
Lets not bound in need
Walking light on earth
There’s a place where the earth meets sky
That’s where I want to meet you
An avenue of tall trees
Facing the rising sun
Remembering our true identity
Being hollow flutes in service
In the silence where all aching falls.
BEHIND THE WORDS
Well, well
All these questions
Will never be answered
Look out of my window
Rolling hills
Dancing grass
Chirping birds
Wild flowers
Below the surface?
Behind the words?
Hanging in space
The mystery
Utter innocence
This appearance
INTO WHOSE ARMS CAN I SURRENDER HER
Oh sweet beloved of darkest night
Would you have me?
Cling to my loneliness
She my dark lost relative
She who waits in shadow
She who tortures and takes me away
Into whose arms can I surrender her?
All these movements rising and falling
All this in the order of change
What eye, what central sun
Weaves this dream upon the stage
IT’S A LOOKING GLASS BALL
I traveled this whole world
Looking for answers.
Seen gold turn to dust
It’s a looking glass ball
Me looking at myself
Been parched and quenched
And I could only turn in
In all the noise
To surrender to silence
Run out of steam
On the high road to hell
Given up the search
Come pack in pain
And what’s left?
A Flower growing in the desert
A lizard scampering away
A yin yang in the landscape
Eyes with no judgment
And what's left
No one remains.
LEFT UNDONE
I was whispering in your ear
Whilst you were sleeping
Of secrets I shall not tell
And we were on the roofs
Of the palace of 1001 nights.
The moon cast her silver shadows.
Dawn was but remembrance
That this desire once met
Could never fulfill me.
How bitter my realization
How sweet left swinging freely
Unsaid and undone beloved
Hovering in the frame of imagination
And a sadness fills my chest
At this beggar’s bowl of desire
That you my muse will fall
Again and again a broken image
Once tasted, feasted and satiated
And my tears fall like autumn rain
Oh Maya bells of the garden
Last flowers drops of petals
So I’m tender that you
A mystery unpicked remain
Like the autumn rain on grass
My tears fall on stubble curves
That grew while I waited a knock
OVER
The geese are flying south
Their wings beating in unison
They are traveling upstream
So sadly against the current
I am a statue at my window
Yes summer is gone
Yes the sky molten apricot
With whispered rain clouds
I say nothing at all
NOTHING
Alive in gratitude
Expressing myself
This body
From the deep
Waves passing
In wonder at all this
Shouting
Me, me, me
In joy
I am
In love
I exist
In silence
I play
In ecstasy
I dance
In intelligence
I create
Not a meeting of this and that
They are all happening
In me
This bodies body
Holds the universe
Stay as heart
Spirit aflame
Eyes liquid
Danced by me
Roaring
I am all this
I am architect and architecture
Thro their rustling song
The crow and the rickshaw
None can say
Oh this more than that
The heart who beats it
The breath who moves it
The world who turns it
The universe who plays it
