What is Healing?
HEALING?
People ask me if I am a healer. I reply that I don't like that word. It implies the wrong dynamics of power and that endless lie that we have been suffering from for millennium.
The shamans, the priests, the therapists, and the gurus have continually disempowered us. By their magic, by their grace, by their psychology, by their awakened knowing and so forth. So they took our hands bound and lead us blind. They knew better than us and we needed a translator to talk to god or to understand ourselves.
PURE HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Healing, health, awakening, understanding can only fully occur when we take back the power into our own hands and by our own authority know who we are and use that knowing to be well. For our original nature is pure health and wellbeing, the very spring of life.
I say rather I can facilitate an environment for healing to happen in. All along the journey with the client I stress their independence and power. Focusing them on their own capabilities for self-healing and the original healer: consciousness itself, which only they have the capacity to unlock for themselves.
PRESENCE AND LOVE
For me the truth is that a healing process can occur when there is a meeting in presence and love. There is no meeting without presence and love. There is just projection, invention and imagination.
THREE PARTS
There are three essential parts of healing. First is consciousness [wu chi]. Here contains all the pure intelligence and pure health that manifests form. In here resides the blueprint for life, the so-called “breath of life” [cranial sacral] or as I like to call it "the spiral matrix". The Second and third parts are the tai chi that is born out of this wu chi. They have their own natural spiral movement folding into each other. The yin is the falling down to zero so that true listening and understanding may occur. The yang is the creative movement of doing, of healing art, which spontaneously arises out of that silence.
"OPEN MIND FALLS TO REST AND FOLLOWS THE NATURAL MOVEMENT OF THE OTHER"
This is my first essential principle of the healing happening. The mind must be open in its field of perception, unconstrained by any idea, notion or imagination of the situation or client. My awareness must be unclouded, whole and anchored in consciousness. As this open mind settles and comes to rest in silence, there is no personal movement of ego nature left to obscure the natural movement of the meeting with reality and specifically the other. In the tai chi classics we say "drop self, follow other". This principle is glorious and broad and most essential for art, meditation, tantra and indeed the very act of meeting life cleanly with the pristine innocence of this moment.
We are all healers. We are all equally source. In our capacities to be empty and silent we impress and remind the other of their true nature. So who is the healer ? It is consciousness itself. I can relax and step back for small me is just an observer. What a relief, there is no responsibility for the success or failure of the session. We just need to get out of the way and see what comes.
THE SPIRAL MATRIX
One aspect of consciousness is its pure intelligence. Bound up in consciousness is the blueprint for all life, for pure health of being. It is our very nature. I call this the spiral matrix, more fundamental than the electromagnetic field but reflected in its magnetic field structure. More infinitely small than the tinniest subatomic particle of quantum physics and at the same time this same spiral reaches to the edge of the universe [cf self replicating systems mathematics of fractiles]. This spiral communicates love instantaneously and weaves itself transcendentally thro different dimensions and undoes the linear nature of time.

It always calls to the body to return to its balanced true architecture of primal vortex [cf the diagram of the field of life in polarity therapy]. In cranio sacral it is called “the breath of life”.
THE CALL OF SOURCE
The call of source is always a return to ease, undoing the knots and tensions and the aberrations of the true architecture of the primal vortex and inertia points that have developed in the system. So again this individual body-mind stream can retune to its essence, pure health and pure being regulating and harmonizing what has been broken by life's hardships.
Silence returns the individual to a place where the original sound can be heard and the original signal of manifestation/creation can realign the kinks caused by pains.
HEALING IS ART
So a natural yin/yang movement occurs in the healing happening. It is its own spiral dance.
These movements of yielding, softening, and listening will give over to movements of action: spirited flows of creation and expression. This creative impulse born out of silence is one of joy and pureness. It is this art that sustains the joy of giving. Once the true movement of yang is lost and any sense of artificial contrived is felt in the doing I will return to the yin: softening, stilling, and returning to the valley to reside in listening.
Painting on the body, we may draw from our library of techniques and tools and we may operate in a very inventive way utilizing touch, sound, light, color, intention, invocation, spitting, sucking, talking, waving, slapping, dancing, emoting, singing, toning, rocking. It is a spontaneous improvisation without calculation. Its point is not to be efficient, but to abide in the joy of love in action, the meeting of two original and uncopiable individuals, never two the same. I remember Kandinsky’s phrase “spontaneous improvisation”. I use as a metaphor the dance of lovers.
